This is an amazing transformation from my client, Kayla. In five months, Kayla lost thirteen kilos and fifteen percent body fat. When Kayla first came to me, she wanted to get ready to join the army.

Not only did she want to look better, she wanted to also improve her fitness levels and her strength. Because Kayla was joining the army, she had certain fitness tests she wanted to past that involved body weight strength.

Her training had a big focus on body weight exercises such as push-ups and pull-ups. We also incorporated a lot of other strength exercises using barbells such as dead lifts, squats and bench press. To improve her fitness level, we did lots of circuits and crossfit-style workouts.

When we first started, I got Kayla to keep a food diary so I can monitor what she was eating. I got her to increase her protein because she was going to be training a lot more especially using weights.

I also got her to cut down on her processed foods and her starchy carbohydrates and to increase her vegetable intake. Kayla’s dedication was amazing. She’d do three sessions with me. Then, on her own, she’d also incorporate strength training and high intensity circuits.

Kayla’s still in the army today, still kept all her great results and getting fitter and stronger.
