Hi, Phil the Fat Burner here. In this video I want to talk about one of the biggest things that I find people avoid like the plague and possibly might be one of the most important things that you need to do to see great results, and that is doing measurements and photos.
 
Most people that I find when they first start with the trainer or start at the gym are very reluctant to get photos and measurements done. It’s understandable, you’re in front of a new person, you’re a bit self conscious, it’s hard to get down to your underwear, get photos, and also have someone measuring you. What I find once I’ve done it a couple of times at the start and they’re seeing great results so they’re happy to continue doing those measurements.
 
However if there’s a month or two where they realise they haven’t been training as hard, they haven’t been eating as well, and they feel like they’re not going to get good results, so they start avoiding doing measurements. It’s all too common.
 
What I find is with some people because they avoid doing measurements they’ll let six months pass and all of a sudden they’ve put on five or ten kilos and they come to me and they’re desperate and they want to do stuff like twelve week challenges to get themselves back into shape.
 
Whereas what I feel they should have done is if they just had kept on getting their measurements every four to six weeks, even if you see a bad measurement that you’re not happy with, at least you can do something about it.
 
Instead of letting a small problem turn into a big problem by avoiding measurements, what you can do is just be consistent, just get your measurements done whether they’re going to be good, bad, great, or indifferent, it doesn’t matter, just get them done because they’re accountability.
 
It’s much easier to solve the problem of putting one kilo in a month than waiting six months and solving the problem of putting on five or ten kilos. That’s it for this training video.
