This is an amazing transformation for my client, Matt. Matt has lost over 16 kilos and 55 centimeters. When Matt first came to me, he was determined to turn his life around and live an active, healthy lifestyle. In Matt’s first session, he struggled to get through a set of body weight squats and almost passed out.

Since then, Matt has increased his strength and fitness levels amazingly. Some of the numbers that Matt is producing now is squatting over 100 kilos easily, dead lifting over 140 kilos easily, bench pressing over 80 kilos easily.

When Matt first started with me, our training mainly focused on big compound lifts, followed by high intensity cardio training, so he could improve strength levels, improve fitness and burn fat. Now Matt has lost the weight and we are focused predominantly on strength training, which involves heavy lifting with the big compound lifts followed by super sets.

With Matt’s nutrition, we realized that we really needed to change the way he eats as he’s eating too many processed carbohydrates, so we needed to decrease those, increase his protein, and track his food to make sure he was sticking to his goals. What we decided to do is keep a food diary and we decided to use My Fitness Pal as Matt was a numbers guy and he felt this kept him accountable.

Matt still today uses My Fitness Pal off and on to make sure he keeps on track. It’s been an amazing transformation that I’m truly proud of. Matt still trains with me, still improving his fitness and his strength every day.
