This is an amazing transformation for my client Milood. He managed to lose 35 kilos in 6 months. When Milood first came to me I realized that nutrition and sustainability were going to be the biggest issues. He tried many diets in the past, some had worked but he always put the weight back on.
What I needed to do was find some nutrition guidelines that he felt like he could stick to in the long term. I realized his diet was very heavy with processed foods and low in protein and vegetables. I asked him to adopt a 90% Paleo diet where he’d eat lean protein from animal sources, lots of vegetables, some fruit and some healthy fats. I also asked him to keep a food diary initially to track what he was eating.
For weight training we started the session with a big compound lift, such as bench press, dead lift, squat or the Olympic lifts and always finished with high intensity circuit training. He would train with me 3 times a week and then on his own he would do an additional 2-3 sessions of high intensity interval training.
The best part of this transformation is not so much the amount of weight that he lost, the fact that he managed to keep it off. I’m happy to say that Milood not only lost the 35 kilos, kept it off but now he’s continued to grow lean muscle. He’s even stronger and in better shape now than he’s ever been. A great transformation that I’m really proud of.
